About the Opportunity:
An opportunity for a BDM has arisen in a Melbourne based Hire and Rental business with a fleet of Access and materials handling equipment such as Telehandlers, Scissor Lifts, Boom Lifts, and Forklifts. They service their valued customers Victoria wide in industries such as construction, warehousing and manufacturing and many more.
A week in the life of a BDM in this company would have you doing:
Task and Responsibilities
- Working autonomously to arrange your schedule to visit prospective clients and current clients
- Attend weekly sales meetings
- Build and maintain relationships with customers
- Learn the machinery and be able to give clients advice on which would be best for their projects
- Quote in line with market value
- Chase leads and close quotes
The Ideal Candidate
- Will be above all an excellent communicator that loves people
- Will be organised and efficient with their time management
- Will have a passion for the construction industry and be comfortable visiting construction sites and liaising with site managers etc
- Will be energetic with a love being part of a team
- Will have already done at least 2 years in a sales position or if no prior sales experience be familiar with the construction industry
